Cecco Trading has been importing and sourcing durable hardwoods for over 30 years from all over the globe. We began over 40 years ago, as an importer of naturally occurring organic wood based extractives for the leather tanning industry. These naturally occurring preservatives derived from certain trees have been recognized for centuries for resistance to decay. This led us to importing these naturally durable woods for boardwalks, marina's, and bridges.

During the last 25 years our company has developed a reputation as the foremost authority on naturally durable hardwoods and their applications. As experts in the field, consumers, engineers, manufacturers, architects and contractors regularly consult us on the features and benefits of these little know species. As a full service company we also offer technical, design, engineering, and fabrication services in addition to holding extensive product inventories.

We have proven over the year our ability to supply large projects on time and maintain inventories that supply hundreds of deck builders across the country. Our residential decking is marketed under the Iron Woods trademark. During the last few years Iron Woods® has become know for the highest quality lumber, responsive service, consistent supply, and unmatched environmental policies.

To ensure that these quality and environmental standards are met, we inspect, grade and control our timber from harvest through production, packaging, and shipping. These grade standards are strictly enforced by a team of independent third party inspectors who inspect each and every piece of Iron Woods™ produced, and issue certificates of compliance for all products that carry the Iron Woods® trademark.

Since our inception we have also felt a deep responsibility to take a leadership role in environmental education and forest stewardship. As such you will find a good portion of this site dedicated to these issues.
