Timber Holdings Intl. has been involved in the fabrication and design of vehicular and pedestrian bridges since the early 1980's. Since that time we have provided high quality, landmark status bridges for numerous projects.
“Iron Woods® structural integrity and beauty is totally intact with no maintenance attention other than sweeping.”
– Kent Worely, Landscape Architect,

Timber Holdings Intl. has the flexibility to supply preassembled bridges delivered on flatbed as a single unit, individual bridge sections preassembled for your convenience, or just the high strength doweled girders.
Our bridges feature the unique properties of the woods used to construct these naturally durable structures, without using toxic chemicals, or harmful creosote for durability. Due to their high strength, natural resistance to rot, low maintenance, and Class A fire rating these bridges have earned their reputation for long lasting beauty. They age to a silver gray patina and need no application of sealers to maintain their structural integrity and appearance. Unlike many other timber bridges the decking on these bridges are proven to stand up to years of traffic; virtually free of splintering and tripping hazards from warped boards. The life cycle of these materials greatly exceeds other decking choices and reduces maintenance costs over the life of the structure.
Please contact us with your particular needs as our experienced engineers and fabrication facilities can make you dreams for a landmark bridge a reality. Simply choose one of our standard bridge types and fax us your data on: bridge length, width, rail height, width between rails, load capacity. We can provide you with an up-to-date estimate in just 48 hours.
We use Dowel laminated girders for our bridges because a mechanical dowel connection provides superior strength and reliability. By using a mechanical dowel connection, rather than just relying on a glue connection these bridges withstand the test of time. Bridges are not the only application for dowel laminated girders. We also make them available separately for structural timber applications. A technical paper is available upon request to help in calculating the proper size girder for your project.
These wooden arches are also available as an individual item for other architectural elements.
